Portugal opened their game on a positive note after launching barrages of attacks but failed to slot the goal at the back of the net. There was a change in attitude by the Portugal side post the half-hour mark as dual assists from Bernardo Silva changed the complexion of the game.
For the first goal, Silva played an intricate one-two with his Manchester City compatriot Joao Silva who dribbled past a defender in the box and hit the shot with unreal power to give the Portuguese side a much deserved 1-0 advantage.
Barely five minutes after the first goal, Bernardo Silva played a wonderful through ball between the Czech defenders for Goncalo Guedes who executed a difficult angle finish to give Ronaldo and Co a comfortable 2-0 lead.

The second half was equally action-packed but lacked goals from either side. Portugal began the next half with the same intensity but failed to produce a goal. In the latter parts of the game, the Czech Republic team did take control of the ball and went on to launch a few attacks which turned to no avail.
Portugal further made attacking changes by bringing in the likes of Bruno Fernandes, but the goals avoided the Portuguese side who had to remain contented with the 2-0 win.
