UEFA Champions League: Bayern Munich will not be in the best of moods after their latest UEFA Champions League game. They were not in the best of form and failed to leave a dent against a well-drilled Manchester City side. The Bavarians leaked three goals against City and one of their foot is outside the UCL as of now, unless they make a miraculous comeback in the next leg. One thing they will be happy with is to have voiced and protested their thoughts against ownership in football. Bayern Munich fans are known for their willingness to protest matters they do not agree with and they have aimed at the owners of Manchester City and Manchester United. Follow UEFA Champions League LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN

In the Etihad Stadium, supporters of Bayern Munich demonstrated against the ownership of Manchester City and Manchester United. Notwithstanding City’s dominance and ruthlessness against Bayern, the travelling German fans’ protest was one of the game’s most talked-about moments.

Two banners were unfurled during the competition by the fervent supporters of Bayern Munich. One of the banners said, ‘Glazers, Sheikh Mansour, all autocrats out!’ The other banner said, ‘The game of football is for the people!’

As they saw the banner, City supporters began to sing Sheikh Mansour’s name, who is also the deputy prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and the club’s owner. Mansour seized control of the team in 2008 and has funded a remarkable rise. He is thought to have a staggering net worth of approximately £17 billion. Mansour has supported the team during a meteoric rise that has seen it win six Premier League championships, two FA Cups, and six League Cups.

The Glazer family’s fan base at United, however, does not share the same level of admiration. Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the richest man in the United Kingdom, and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, a multibillionaire from Qatar, are the two front-runners to buy the club if the American venture capitalists decide to sell it.

It is not the first time that fans of Bayern Munich have made a statement from the stands. The fans complained over the cancellation of multiple games after Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s death during their Champions League match versus Barcelona in September. In the Allianz Arena, they unfurled a banner that read “last minute match delays and bans because of a Royal’s death?”

Manchester City vs Bayern Munich – 1st Leg

It has not been the dreamiest of starts for Thomas Tuchel and his tenure at Bayern Munich. After falling to the Premier League winners 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium, Thomas Tuchel’s team now needs a miracle to advance to the semifinal round of the Champions League.

Pep Guardiola’s team put on a commanding performance, and due to goals from Rodri, Bernardo Silva, and Erling Haaland, they have a shot at making the semifinals. It will be one of the best comebacks in recent history if Bayern is able to turn it all around, looking at how City is playing right now. An exciting second leg awaits us all.
