ENG-W U19 vs AUS-W U19 Highlights: In the first few overs of the second semi-final, Australia’s brilliant bowling attack shredded England’s top order, leaving them in serious difficulty at 45/7. The game was still very much in Australia’s favour at the halfway mark, but a solid partnership between Alexa Stonehouse (25) and Josie Groves (15) enabled England return to a total of 99 all out when the final wicket fell off the fifth delivery of the final over.
And thanks to a brilliant bowling performance, England managed to defeat Australia by bowling them out for 96 runs—three runs short of the target. Hannah Baker stood out with a fantastic 3/10 from four overs, while captain Grace Scrivens provided a dramatic end by taking the last wicket to finish with outstanding individual numbers of 2/8 from 3.4 overs in addition to her run-a-ball 20 at the plate.
