Tristan Tate, much like his elder brother Andrew, is a professional kickboxer and leads an extravagant lifestyle. However, their current circumstances were not always so fortunate, as both brothers have faced significant struggles in their lives.
In fact, they were once in such dire straits that they had to rely on scavenging fast food from the popular chicken chain, KFC, just to survive. These experiences have undoubtedly shaped the Tate brothers’ perspectives and appreciation for their current success.
Similarly, during his earlier days, Tristan Tate would commemorate his birthday by indulging in KFC meals. He has since shared the rationale behind this tradition. In his words, “Every single birthday I eat KFC. Me and my brother needed protein because we used to train, we used to kickbox all the time. Meat was very expensive.”
He added, “So if it went really hard we would drive my broken Volkswagen up to the KFC and I would sit in my car. I used to have a trash bag and KFC people buy buckets. And from that they used to eat some pieces but always used 3-4 pieces left. So I used to go there and I would take these pieces of chicken and take home 30-40 pieces of chicken. After all day of collection I freeze them up and microwave them.”
As a result, the practice of consuming KFC on his birthday was born. Although Tristan Tate has admitted that he is not particularly fond of KFC, the tradition serves as a reminder of how far he has come.
