Over the course of a few years, several top names in the streaming industry have shifted allegiance from purple to red. Here are the top 5 streamers who shifted from Twitch to YouTube.

Top Twitch streamers who shifted to YouTube

5) Valkyrae

Valkyrae is one of the most popular female content creators in the community as of now. While she shot to fame through her Among Us streams on Twitch, she has earned many other accolades to her name over the years. She has had several successful business ventures over the years, and became co-owner of 100 Thieves as well.

However, the most shocking announcement from the streamer was when she announced that she would be shifting platforms from Twitch to YouTube in 2020.

The streamer, who had over 1.1 million followers on Twitch is now reigning over her kingdom of 3.69 million subscribers on YouTube.

4) Ludwig

Ludwig was one of the first streamers who shifted from Twitch to YouTube in 2022.  The content giant was already posting content on his YouTube channel, Mogul Mail, so he had a pretty strong fanbase on the red platform. However, he announced his shift from Twitch to YouTube in style, and left fans in awe.

Following the switch, Ludwig now has over 3.24 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, as opposed to the 3.1 million followers on Twitch.

3) DrLupo

DrLupo is one of the most prominent BR games streamers in the world, popular for his Call of Duty, Fortnite, Destiny streams. The streamer switched over from Twitch to YouTube back in 2021, right before the world saw a mass exodus of streamers from Twitch. DrLupo joined his fellow streamers TimTheTatman and Dr DisRespect on YouTube on August 31, 2021, and has been streaming exclusively on YouTube ever since.

DrLupo regularly streams on YouTube to his following of 1.87 million subscribers. However, the streamer used to have a massive following of 4.6 million on Twitch before he shifted platforms.

2) TimTheTatman

TimTheTatman practically pioneered the mass exodus from Twitch when he switched over to YouTube back in September 2021. The streamer announced his decision in style, and fans were super excited to see him resume streaming Call of Duty with Dr DisRespect.

Tim now regularly streams to a crowd of 4.58 million followers. On Twitch, the streamer reigned over a following of 7 million.

1) Dr DisRespect

Dr DisRespect was one of the first streamers to switch over to YouTube Gaming after he was mysteriously banned from Twitch four years ago. Till date, the reason behind his Twitch ban is unknown and neither party seems interested in letting fans in on the big secret.

However, despite his mysterious ban, the Two-Time has built quite the reputation for himself on YouTube, where a massive following of 4.01 million subscribers watches him rage over Call of Duty titles every day.

These are some of the most popular streamers who shifted allegiance from purple to red over the years. However, given the rise in the trend again, fans might see many more such big names shifting over in the next few months.
