Ashwin, who has been out of the Indian T20 team for some time now, has been actively participating in domestic cricket to keep himself match-fit. His presence at the TNPL auction raised a few eyebrows.
Ashwin was seen doing the same work as Gautam Gambhir did when he used to play for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Gambhir, who is currently a cricket analyst and commentator, was known for his astute cricketing brain and was often seen mentoring the KKR team during his playing days.
