In a heartwarming gesture, Tilak Varma dedicated his maiden T20I half-century to Rohit Sharma’s daughter, Samaira. The young batter scored an impressive 51 runs off 41 balls, leading India’s batting charge. He opened up about his strong bond with Samaira and revealed that he had made a promise to dedicate his celebration to her whenever he achieves a maiden century or a fifty. True to his commitment, Varma commemorated his achievement by cherishing the special bond he shares with Sharma’s daughter.
“It was towards Sammy, Rohit bhai’s daughter,” Tilak Varma told reporters after the match. “I am very close to Sammy. I had promised her that whenever I will score a century or a fifty, I will do a celebration for her,” he added.

Despite Tilak Varma’s brilliant knock, India faced a challenging situation in the second T20I against West Indies, with the latter securing a thrilling two-wicket victory.
