Thiago Silva Contract situation at Chelsea
Despite being 38 years of age, Silva remains the first-choice center-back for the Blues. The Brazilian is still a great reader of the game and also strong in the air. Current Chelsea manager Graham Potter has repeatedly praised Silva for his on-field performance.
Giving an update on the contract situation at Chelsea, Silva said, “We are talking about it. Probably everything will happen in the next few days. My intention and the club’s intention are the same: to stay together”.
He added, “I know that the club needs me at this moment, I’m here to help, there are young players. I think that with my experience I can help in this process of rebuilding the club. I am here for this, willing to do this. But I know that my responsibility is huge. I know we have a lot of work ahead of us.”

With Chelsea all set to offer one year contract, Silva will now turn his attention towards helping Chelsea climb the Premier League table.
