Indians in action
Men’s Singles
Mithun Manjunath, who is ranked 42nd in the world is in the first quarter of the draws. He faces fifth seed Kenta Nishimoto in the first round of the tournament. Top seeded Kunlavut Vitidsarn is also in this quarter of the draws. Manjunath finished as finalist in the Orleans Masters Super 300 last year. He aims for a similar finish in the upcoming Super 300 event.
Kiran George is the 43rd ranked player in the tournament. He begins his campaign by facing Chinese Taipei’s Lee Chia Hao in the first round. George is in the second quarter. This quarter also has Hong Kong’s Lee Cheuk Yiu and Brian Yang as the seeded players.
Priyanshu Rajawat, who made it to the main draw at the Indonesian Masters is in the third quarter in this tournament. He faces South Korea’s Heo Kwang Hee in the first round. Sameer Verma and Sai Praneeth are also in the main draw of the tournament.
Women’s Singles
Saina Nehwal headline action in the Women’s Singles draw of the tournament. She faces Denmark’s Mia Blichfeldt in the first round of the tournament. Nehwal, who faced a defeat in the second round of the Indonesia Masters against Han Yue will once again face the Chinese in the second round of this tournament if both the players win their first round.
Anupama Upadhyaya and Ashmitha Chaliha also find themselves in the same quarter. Both the Indians will be facing each other in the first round of the tournament.
Malvika Bansod also finds herself in the Women’s Singles draw. Bansod faces top seed Ratchanok Intanon in the first round.
Men’s Doubles
India’s Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty are the top seeded pairs in the Men’s Doubles. They missed the Indonesia Masters due to an injury to Satwik. The pair will face Chinese Taipei’s unseeded Su Ching Heng and Ye Hing-wei in the first round.
India’s Krishnaprasad Garaga and Vishnu Panjala also find themselves in the same quarter of the draws. They will begin their campaign against a qualifier.
Ishaan Bhatnagar and Sai Pratheek are in the bottom half of the draws. They face Denmark’s eighth seeded Bay-Molhede pair in the first round. Ravikrishna and Udayakumar are also another Indian pair in the tournament.
Women’s Singles
India’s Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand are the third seeded duo in the tournament. They are in the third quarter of the draws and will kickstart their campaign by facing Japan’s Miyaura-Sakuramoto duo. They are likely to set up cash against compatriots Tanisha Crasto and Ashwinu Ponnappa in the second round.
Simran Singhi and Ritika Thaker are also in the same quarter. They will begin their campaign by facing China’s sixth seeded Liu-Zhang in the first round.
Mixed Doubles
Ishaan Bhatnagar and Tanisha Crasto are the eighth seeded pair in the Mixed Doubles. The Indians will begin their campaign against Chinese Taipri’s unseeded Ye-Lee duo. Other Indians in fray in the Mixed Doubles include Sumit Reddy and Ashwini Ponnappa. Rohan Kapoor and Sikki Reddy meanwhile will be pairing up as the third Indian pair.
