Meanwhile, talking to TMZ when asked about whether he will fight Canelo Alvarez next he stated, “No, not at all. got that question many times before and I stated it before and I’m gonna state it now. Canelo is two, three, four weight classes above me. You don’t know what weight [Canelo’s] fighting at when he fights. At the same time Canelo really doesn’t interest me because of the size factor.”
Crawford is a welterweight fighter, competing in the 147 lb. division, while Alvarez has moved up in weight and now fights in the super middleweight division at 168 lbs, after going through various weight classes in recent times.
