Moving further in the tournament will hand Nagal some major financial boost. If Nagal qualifies to the fourth round, he will pocket $375,000. In case of a quarter-final spot, Nagal will earn a further $600,000. Nagal stands to earn close to a million dollars ($990,000) if he reaches the semi-finals of the Australian Open.
Moving into the Australian Open finals will provide a big boost to Nagal’s financial situation. Nagal can pocket a whopping $1.725 million even if he loses the final. In case he is crowned the champion of Australian Open Men’s singles, Nagal will pocket a massive $3.15 million.
