The league this year has already seen numerous fixtures getting rescheduled as Covid-19 has breached bio-bubble created inside The Sheraton Grand, Bengaluru. Some of the members of the teams have informed InsideSport that everyday new cases are coming-up. One of the member of the team down South informed InsideSport that atleast 4 teams at this stage have reported multiple cases in their team.
“Once Covid has been reported in one of the team it was obvious that others will get affected. 4 teams are affected at this stage. But things are still manageable. I think the season will move ahead as usual”, said one of the team member of PKL Team.
Only today, the league organisers released a new schedule of the fixtures until February 6. Now with another fixture getting rescheduled, the organisers need to once again rejig their fixtures and hope that despite the current circumstances, the league continues to be conducted on a day-on-day basis.
