A sneek peek of Team India World Cup jersey has been leaked online. During the IND vs BAN Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 clash, a glimpse of the World Cup 2023 jersey surfaced online and it went viral within few minutes. Apart from the color and design, the detail that caught the attention of fans was the number of stars it has over the BCCI emblem on the chest.

The leaked picture showed two stars as opposed to the current jersey which has three, signifying India’s three World Cup wins – two in the ODI format and one in T20 format. However, India’s 2007 T20 World Cup triumph star has been removed in the ODI World Cup jersey. But why?

The reason behind it is that the jersey is for the ODI World Cup and therefore feature two stars, signifying India’s two ODI World Cup wins in 1983 and 2011.

How Stars Change on Team India’s Jersey?

India's 2007 T20 World Cup triumph star has been removed in the ODI World Cup 2023 leaked jersey. Here's why.
