What is Rottnest Island?
It is Situated only 19 kilometres off the coast of Perth. Rottnest Island offers visitors a picturesque scenery, and a rich cultural heritage to discover on a day trip. Rottnest Island is also considered as a marine paradise.
It has 63 of the most prettiest beaches one can come across anywhere in the world. It also has 20 beautiful bays and many coral reefs and wrecks.
The Island is also home to the world famous Quokka. It is Asian civet cat, but with brown hair. The name “quokka” comes from the name given to the animal by the Aboriginal people.
