Team India held an optional practice session at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka. Star Indian batter Virat Kohli opted to miss with a full training session set for Wednesday. Captain KL Rahul and coach Rahul Dravid surveyed the pitch to assess the conditions on offer. The captain-coach duo spent some time together with the Indian opener fine tuning his technique.
Dravid particularly focused on Rahul’s batting grip and was seen correcting it. The Indian head coach also spent some time with Cheteshwar Pujara during the session. After a player-of-the-match performance in Chattogram, the Indian veteran hit the nets to stay on top of his game. Shubman Gill also batted out in the nets.
Ravichandran Ashwin and Shreyas Iyer were the other players to get a bat in. Both scored the fifties in the Chattogram Test and were seen at practice in Dhaka. The former worked on his technique to deal with short-pitched bowling. No bowlers were in action in the optional session.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh held a full training session on Tuesday. They played a game of football with Shakib sporting an Argentina jersey. Rahim engaged in conversation with India coach Rahul Dravid..
