T20 WORLD CUP Papua New Guinea (PNG) Overview –PNG will be making its maiden appearance in an ICC global tournament when they take on Oman in the tournament opener. They finished as runners-up in the Qualifier 2019 that helped them earn a ticket to the mega event.
Placed in Group B, PNG will face Oman, Scotland, and Bangladesh in their three games to seal a spot alongside the top-ranked nations in the “Super 12” stage. They faced 8 wickets defeat against Ireland and 39 runs defeat against Sri Lanka in the warmup matches.
