PV Sindhu (IND) vs Tanya Hemanth (IND)

PV Sindhu, who had finished runner-up at Swiss Open and World Tour Finals, will hope to turn things around this week when she begins her campaign against compatriot Tanya Hemanth.

The senior-pro Sindhu hasn’t faced Tanya Hemanth in the national circuit. For the Karnataka youngster lost the Round-of-16 match to USA’s Lauren Lam in straight games. But she will draw inspiration from Supanida. It will be a big test for the youngster.

For Sindhu, it is expected to be smooth sailing. But she will have to fight fatigue as she has been competing constantly. If she manages to go through to the semifinals, she will be itching to settle scores against Supanida, whom she is likely to face again at the semifinals at the Babu Banarasi Das Indoor Stadium.
