Sourav Ganguly biopic: Why Ganguly is set to write the script?
- Earlier it was reported that a biopic on Ganguly is set to tell the story of the rise of his and the Indian team during 2000-07
- Rumors of Ranbir Kapoor donning the role of the legendary cricketer were also in the news
- But in a U-turn of sorts, the BCCI President has now decided to take matters into his own hand and write the script
- Apparently, he is not getting much time due to a busy schedule and the script is also not ready till now
“I am not getting much time. I have to write the script, and till now it is not ready,” said Ganguly to News 18

Sourav Ganguly Biopic: Ganguly thinks no one can explain his story better than himself – The BCCI President firmly believes his story can be best explained by him. The southpaw does not want to take any risk and wants to show minute details of the film to the audience.
He also plans to add different elements to the script which are unheard of, or not so deeply touched upon.

Ganguly’s movie will chronicle his terrific journey from Kolkata to his Lord’s. It will also show the rise of Indian cricket after the Mohammed Azharuddin era. The Journey of Ganguly as a leader and a fighter, who instilled a fearless mentality within the team.
The movie will also shed light on new and emerging players of that era the likes of Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, and MS Dhoni.
