This incident took place in the final delivery of the powerplay. A delivery from Pramod Madushan saw Fakhar Zaman trying to punch the ball to the leg side. However, the ball takes an inside edge on the batter’s elbow and at a slow pace goes on to hit the stumps. To everyone’s wonder, despite hitting the middle stumps, the bails didn’t light up or were dislodged.
With the bails not being dislodged, therefore the dismissal can’t be given and therefore, Zaman gets a huge lifeline in the game. However, Zaman’s stay on the pitch was short. He managed to score just 13 runs from 18 deliveries before being dismissed by Wanindu Hasaranga.

Pakistan had a horrible session with the bat today against SriLanka. Playing the last game of the Asia Cup 2022 Super 4s, the two teams will once again meet on Sunday for the all-important finals. Pakistan was bowled out on 121 with the side experiencing a total batting collapse. Skipper Babar Azam was the highest run-getter of his side after scoring 30 runs.
