With that, he has become the 5th Indian to score a double century in ODIs. He is now the joint second-fastest batter to cross 1000 runs. The youngster took 19 innings to achieve this record. Indian veterans Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan took 24 innings respectively to achieve this mega record. He also became the youngest player to score an ODI double ton.   • Shubman is the youngest to score an ODI double century. He broke Ishan Kishan’s record. Ishan was 24 when he scored a double ton.
  • Shubman Gill became the joint second-fastest batter in the world to amass 1000 ODI runs in the fewest innings. He took 19 innings to do so. Fakhar Zaman is the fastest with 18 innings. Fellow Pakistani opener Imam ul Haq is joint second with 19 innings.
  • Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli took 24 innings to score 1000 runs in ODIs
  • This was Gill’s 1st double-century in ODIs.

Shubman Gill Record: It has been a massive record from Shubman Gill. The in-form opener slammed his first ODI double-century in the 1st ODI match against NewZealand. He became the fastest Indian to achieve this record. It took the youngster just 19 innings to achieve this feat.

Veteran opener Dhawan and former Indian captain Kohli are tied for fastest batters to 1000 runs in ODIs. The unique feat was completed in 24 innings by Kohli and Dhawan.

Fakhar Zaman is the fastest batter in the world to reach 1000 runs, after doing so in just 18 innings. Gill is now tied with Imam ul Haq, as both took 19 innings to achieve this feat. Gill also became the second fastest Indian batter to slam 3 ODI centuries in the least innings. Only Shikhar Dhawan stands ahead of him after doing so in just 17 innings.
