Olympia dresses for Special Serena Tribute
Serena Williams’s 4-year-old daughter wore an adorable dress as a tribute to her legendary mom as the tennis superstar took the court Monday against Danka Kovinić. The tournament is likely to be the final time Serena steps on the court of the US Open.
Sitting in the stands at the US Open with her dad, Alexis Ohanian, she was pictured in a matching sparkly Nike dress with her hair in white beads, a nod to the iconic look her mom and aunt Venus Williams sported when they made their professional debuts in the 1990s.
Billie Jean King also pays her Tribute
Ahead of the first round match, former Grand Slam champion and a n inspiration to many Billie Jean King paid her tribute to Serena and said, “You are fearless, I love it and you hate the lose, it is great. You’ve touched our hearts and minds to be our authentic selves, to use our voices to dream big.
“Thank you for your leadership and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, especially for women and women of color.
“Most of all, thank you for sharing your journey with every single one of us. We love you. God bless you. And guess what? You’re just beginning!” Billie Jean King said while she paid her tributes to the great champion.

A special video montage by Oprah Winfrey was played at the Arthur Ashe Stadium after Serena Williams won her opening match at the US Open. The video made its debut after Williams’s first match, which was in round one of the women’s singles. Williams won against Montenegrin player Danka Kovini, winning 6-3, 6-3.
The fitting and emotional theme was one of the highlight reels of the day as Serena was seen emotional while she was also joined by her family members as well.
