South Africa’s wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock was struck by the final ball of the fifteenth over, bowled by Anrich Nortje. Harry Brook under-edged an attempted pull shot through to the keeper. De Kock got his gloves to the ball as it reached him on the half-volley but immediately called for the South African physio.
A delay followed while he was treated before leaving the field, with Heinrich Klaasen taking over with the gloves after strapping up his hands in the dressing room. Quinton de Kock has gone for an X-ray on his right thumb after being hit during the second ODI at Bloemfontein.
