InsideCricket with Wasim Jaffer: In the 3rd ODI in Cape Town, Quinton de Kock slammed a century while Rassie van der Dussen scored a fifty as India’s bowlers looked out of rhythm for the third straight game, failing to take wickets in the middle overs. South Africa set 288-run for India.

During the chase, India stumbled with KL Rahul departing early. Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli steadied the ship with half-centuries and a 98-run stand but India’s middle-order struggled once again. Rishabh Pant and Shryeas Iyer failed while Suryakumar Yadav tried his best, it was not enough. Had it not been for a brilliant 34-ball 54 from Deepak Chahar, India would have lost the match early. But his knock kept India in the match and took closer to the target. However, India were dismissed for 283, falling four runs short of the target.
