Chasing 170, RCB were off to a great start with Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat putting up a 55-run partnership for the opening wicket. But Yuzvendra Chahal turned things around for RR. After Chahal removed a dangerous-looking Du Plessis for 29, Navdeep Saini dismissed Anuj Rawat.
Chahal turned the tides with two quick wickets. First, Virat Kohli was run-out and then he cleaned up David Willey with a fantastic delivery to reduce RCB to 62/4. Soon, Sherfane Rutherford departed to make it 87/5.
But this is when, RCB changed the match. Dinesh Karthik was the architect, taking the attack to RR bowlers, smashing Ravichandran Ashwin for 21 while Shahbaz Ahmed also ably supported him. Karthik remained unbeaten on 44 off 23 while Ahmed scored 45 off 26 as RCB chased the 170-run target with five balls to spare.

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore conceded 42 runs off the last two overs with Jos Buttler and Shimron Hetmyer powering Rajasthan Royals to 169/3 in 20 overs.
RCB started well, removing Yashasvi Jaiswal in the 2nd over with David Willey striking. But Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal stitched together a 70-run partnership to steady the ship. While RCB made a comeback with wickets of Padikkal and Sanju Samson in quick succession but it was their death overs bowling that cost them a lot of runs.

Jos Buttler followed up his century with a half-century (70 off 47) while Shimron Hetmyer smashed 31-ball 42 to take Rajasthan Royals to 169/3 with 42 runs coming in the last two overs with some poor bowling from Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep.
