IND BAN 2nd ODI: Dhawan confirms Team Meeting after SHOCKING LOSS in 1st ODI, says ‘We analysed in team meeting, will look to create more impact in 2nd ODI’
India suffered a humiliating defeat in the first ODI and now face a herculean task to save the series. The Men in Blue however are confident, with Dhawan falling back on the experience.
“We need improvements. We analysed that and rectified it in a team meeting. Surely we will be creating much more impact in the game as well,” Dhawan said.
“We are confident, we have been in such situations in the past. We know how to bounce back from these situations,” he added.
Shardul Thakur is available and fit for selection as confirmed by Shikhar Dhawan in the pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
He said, “Shardul Thakur is fit and definitely available for the game. He had just cramps, nothing serious.”

Shikhar Dhawan was practising sweeps and reverses at the nets ahead of the IND BAN 2nd ODI. Dravid was observing that from close quarters while the others including Shreyas Iyer did the same. India struggled against spin in Dhaka, with Shakib picking up five wickets on Sunday.
Speaking at the press conference, Dhawan said, “I enjoy playing sweep and reverse sweep, so good to practice more of that. On these types of wickets, sweep and reverse sweep are very effective, you will see more of it from our batters tomorrow.”
The veteran opener added that it was all part of the preparation for the World Cup in India.
“Even the World Cup next year is in India, spinners play a major role on Indian pitches, so sweep and reverse sweep will come handy. It is part of the preparation for the World Cup,” he added.
