The news coming in from Mumbai’s Kokilaben hospital is that Rishabh Pant has undergone the first of his two surgeries. The first one was conducted on the knee ligament tear he suffered during the horrific car crash. But he is still set for a lengthy period on the bench as he will have another surgery on his ankle ligament injury.
The sources close to BCCI’s medical team informed InsideSport that doctors at the hospital feel Pant will need a minimum of 8-9 months to make a comeback on the field. This means not only he will miss IPL 2023 but can also miss Asia Cup 2023 & ODI World CUP in October.
