Finch, speaking to Big Sports Breakfast, clearly didn’t offer his full support to Langer and reflected on the string of losses that the Australians have suffered. Recently there were reports that Langer and team manager Gavin Dovey were involved in a heated exchange with a Cricket Australia staffer during the Bangladesh series.

“It’s a good question, and I don’t know the answer to that,” Finch said when asked about the ongoing conflict in the dressing room.
“All I’ll say is when you lose, everything is magnified and everything is highlighted,” he added.

“As I mentioned with the players on tour with bubble fatigue and guys not having any escape while you’re on tour, you’re locked into cricket mode almost 24/7 because you can’t get out and go for a coffee down the road or you can’t go out for dinner somewhere else,” Finch said.
“You’re literally just confined to the hotel 24/7. When you’re just around cricket the whole time, that can consume you so you get a little bit of burnout from that as well. And when you’re losing that just adds multiple layers to it as well.
“As everyone knows in sport, wins and losses are what counts and unfortunately we haven’t been up to the mark in the last eight-ten months,” he added.
Rift in Australian Cricket – Aaron Finch vs Coach Langer: Australian cricket is in a state of turmoil both on and off the field. Coach Langer has been in the news for the wrong reasons and as many as 40 players and support staff gave their feedback during the end-of-season reviews.
With the majority of them not happy with the functioning style of the head coach, Langer was given a warning by Cricket Australia. Langer had signed a four-year deal in 2018 after taking over in wake of the sandpaper gate scandal in South Africa.
