He mentioned that it doesn’t make any sense to find him dropped after starting in wins against West Ham and Chelsea. Tottenham lost against Wolves where Son Heung-min replaced Richarlison and Conte picked him again against Milan.
“Yesterday, they asked me to take a test at the gym, that if I was good I would go to the game and, at the time of the game, they left me on the bench,” he claimed on Wednesday after the match. He also added, “These are things that it is not possible to understand. Let’s see what he will say tomorrow, but there are no fools here either, I’m a professional, I work every day and I want to play. There are minutes left, time left.”
Things will get more critical for Richarliosn if Conte takes these words seriously. Son Heung-min is a top-class player and Conte just preferred the right player in a big game. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out. We saw an incident in 2021 when Lukaku hit out at Tuchel and later, he lost his place in XI. The Brazilian can face the same reaction from his manager.
