According to rumours, Kai Havertz is about to leave Chelsea for Real Madrid in a “mega-deal.” Karim Benzema, a 35-year-old star striker for the La Liga giants, has left the Bernabeu, as the club announced. Havertz of Chelsea has unexpectedly entered the race to replace the Frenchman, who is leaving the Spanish city after 14 years.
The German international can now “quickly” join Real, according to Bild. Both president Florentino Perez and manager Carlo Ancelotti are reportedly fans of the forward. An agreement with Real is anticipated to come once Chelsea agrees to sell Havertz, who is 23.
In 2020, Chelsea acquired the playmaker from Bayer Leverkusen for a then-club-record £75 million. He has not been reliable despite scoring the game-winning goal in his debut season’s Champions League final. After just three years in West London, it leaves the Blues prepared to offload Havertz as they aim to restructure their team this summer.
Real is also clearing house this summer, after ex-Chelsea star Eden Hazard, 32, terminated his contract. Shortly after, Benzema left, and the attacker is rumored to be moving to Saudi Arabia for a sizable sum of money.

Harry Kane to replace Benzema?
According to reports, Real Madrid has been given the opportunity to sign Harry Kane of Tottenham this summer in a player-plus-cash deal that also includes Eden Hazard. Next summer, when Kane’s contract in North London expires, Spurs will likely have one more chance in THIS summer transfer window to make a deal for the striker before running the risk of losing him for free.
Erik ten Hag is on high alert to sign a top central striker, therefore the England star has been linked to Manchester United. United thinks a deal is feasible given Kane’s contractual circumstances. But Daniel Levy has been adamant that if he does decide to sell Kane, it will be outside of England and not to a club in the Premier League.
