Earlier, RCB recovered from a batting collapse in Kolkata to post a massive 212/2 total on homecoming. RCB’s Top 3 smashed fifties with Virat Kohli setting the tone with a 44-ball 61. After Amit Mishra dismissed Kohli, Faf du Plessis took charge.
The RCB captain remained unbeaten on 79 off 46 but smashed 5 sixes to entertain Chinnaswamy crowd. Maxwell also found his groove with a brilliant 29-ball 59. He smashed 6 sixes as LSG bowlers had no answer. After a 96-run opening stand, Du Plessis added 115 runs off 50 balls. Earlier, KL Rahul won the Toss and opted to bowl first as Chinnaswammy is a good chasing ground.
