After interacting for minutes, Miandad took a food plate and explained to Azam how to go about the business during a cricket match. Sarfaraz Khan, who was sitting beside the Pakistani skipper watched the conversation unfold. During his time Miandad was known to win several mini-battles by tackling the opposition in a street-smart way.
Azam was willing to learn the mental aspect of batting with the legendary cricketer ahead of PSL season 8, which kicks off on February 13.

All is not well between PCB and BCCI. In the latest tension has risen further with former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad launching a scathing attack on BCCI. It is safe to say that PCB has strong feelings about the potential snatching of Asia Cup 2023 hosting rights by BCCI-backed ACC from Pakistan. The Pakistan Board has spoken up aggressively against the BCCI’s position, and now cricket legend Miandad has also joined in.
“Why is India afraid to play against Pakistan? They know if they lose to Pakistan, their public will not spare them,” said Miandad at an event.
“India can go to hell if they don’t want to come to Pakistan to play cricket. Pakistan do not need India to survive,” former Pak skipper added.
Notably, the 2023 Asia Cup is scheduled to be held in Pakistan in September, but the Rohit Sharma-led team is unlikely to participate if the PCB doesn’t forgo the hosting rights.
