The hilarious incident took place between Babar Azam and Hasan Ali when they were up against each other in the ongoing PSL match. The two cricketers shared a light moment when Babar taking a single. Babar scared Hasan Ali by lifting his bat and pretending to hit him with it. Hasan was taken aback by the sudden gesture and ran for cover as Babar broke into laughter.

Babar later became upset with himself and banged his bat to the ground in a fit of rage. Babar was upset that the penultimate ball of the innings, bowled by Rumman Raees, only allowed him to get a single after hitting the toe of his bat and rolling over to deep mid-wicket for a simple one.

After the match, Babar revealed the conversation he had with Hasan on the field. “I wasn’t saying much to him. I was just trying to compete with him because everyone knows that since he is making a comeback, he would put in extra effort. He wasn’t in the best of forms but the way he bowled tonight, it shows that he is getting his rhythm back. I was having a bit of interaction with him, trying to put him under pressure but I guess it didn’t work,” said Babar.
While Babar finished with a valiant unbeaten fifty to lead his team to a respectable total, Hasan won man of the match after taking 3 wickets. Asked to bat first Babar Azam-led side Peshawar Zalmi made 156 for 8 in the allocated 20 overs.
This was the second loss for Peshawar Zalmi in the competition as they posted a total of 157 with Hasan Ali taking three wickets. In response, Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored an impressive 62 off just 31 deliveries as Islamabad United were able to reach the target easily to clinch a much-needed victory. Hasan bagged 3/35 and was adjudged Player of the Match.
