For Multan Sultans, their opening pair of Shan Masood and skipper Mohammad Rizwan is the biggest strength. Masood has amassed 343 runs in six matches, scoring four fifties. He is currently the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament. On the other hand, Rizwan has hit three half-centuries. The explosive opening duo is giving a fiery start which is then getting capitalised by batters like Tim David,who has scored 197 runs.
Lahore’s Fakhar Zaman has been in a terrific form this year. In the five games, he has scored four fifty plus scores including a century and has hit 356 runs. Lahore also possess one of the best bowling line-up this season with Rashid Khan, Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi in their ranks. However they were taken to cleaners by Jason Roy who scored a brilliant century and they will look to get back to form against a team that has a strong batting line-up.
In the previous encounter between the two teams, Lahore batted first and registered 206 on the board with Fakhar Zaman scoring 76 runs. However it was easily chased by the Sultans with their opening duo stitching together a 150-run partnership as they chased the total with two balls to spare.
