The incident happened in the second over of the game when a short ball from Haris Rauf took the top edge off the bat of Peshawar batsman Mohammed Haris. Fawad Ahmed at fine leg took a catch to give Lahore their first wicket. While celebrating the wicket, Kamran Ghulam came to hug the bowler, but he slapped him in return in a moment of anger. Kamran Ghulam however kept smiling.

It is to be noted that Haris Rauf was upset with Ghulam, since he dropped a catch off his bowling in the same over. In the second ball of the over, Hazratullah Zazai gave a straightforward catch to Ghulam, who was standing at point. He however failed to grab it and put it down. This is said to be the reason for Rauf slapping Ghulam three balls later.
However, things were cool between the two players as in the 17th over, Ghulam ran out Peshawar skipper Wahab Riaz with a brilliant direct hit and Rauf ran and hugged him for his effort and both the players exchanged pleasantry smiles.

Haris Rauf took one wicket in the innings and gave away 36 runs in his four overs. Peshawar Zalmi managed to score 158 for the loss of seven wickets. Both the teams have already qualified for the playoffs. Lahore Qalandars will finish second while Peshawar Zalmi will finish the league stage on the third spot in the points table.
