Indian players don’t take part in the Pakistan Super League while Pakistan players are not allowed to take part in the IPL. The two sides have stopped playing against each other in both home and away fixtures over the last decade. The only time the two arch-rivals have faced each other has been in ICC tournaments.

Ahmedabad – Mohd Rizwan as KL Rahul: Mohd Rizwan is a wicketkeeping batter for Pakistan and thus can be compared with India’s KL Rahul. Similar to Rahul who will be leading the new side Ahmedabad in IPL 2022, Mohd Rizwan will be leading the newest team of PSL, Multan Sultans. Rizwan is a good batter after having scored 864 runs in 37 ODI innings and 1639 runs in 44 innings for Pakistan.
Kolkata Knight Riders – Sarfaraz Ahmed as Dinesh Karthik: Sarfaraz Ahmed the skipper of the Quetta Gladiators is a wicket-keeping batsman for the Pakistan national team and thus is ideal comparison can be drawn to the skipper of KKR, Dinesh Karthik. Both the players are veterans of their sides after having played numerous games for their sides.

Lucknow – Shadab Khan as Hardik Pandya: Shadab Khan is the skipper of Islamabad United and the young 23-year-old all-rounder can be compared to India’s hard-hitting all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Both the players have played a reasonable amount of ODI and T20Is for their respective nations. Moreover, these youngsters are extremely talented and are touted to achieve greatness when they hang their boots.
Mumbai Indians – Shaheen Afridi as Trent Boult: The 21-year-old pacer is the skipper of the Lahore Qalandars. Afridi can be compared to Mumbai Indians star pacer New Zealand pacer, Trent Boult. Both the players though at different stages of their careers are one of the disciplined bowlers of the game. Having similar bowling approaches and aggressiveness makes them a likely comparison.
