Though the new jersey in itself has not caught everyone’s attention, given that it is pretty plain and simple, eagle-eyed fans have noticed one hidden message in the jersey reveal video. Spurs themselves have mentioned that they have used many ‘blink and you miss’ moments in the video, and one such moment which fans did not miss is that of a kid reading a book saying ‘Top 10 places in Istanbul.’ Notably, next season’s UEFA Champions League final will be played at Istanbul in Turkey, and many believe the Premier League club could be hinting at their optimism regarding qualifying for the final.

Spurs also released a statement regarding the kit launch, which said “The Home Kit launch – Dare To Do True – is the first instalment in our Dare To Do series, a five-part campaign which provides a contemporary twist on our iconic motto. It celebrates a classic shirt design that brings a sense of authenticity and togetherness amongst our fans. The lilywhite shirt, made from 100% recycled polyester, is accentuated by neon volt detail that is visible throughout and complemented by navy blue shorts and white socks.”

“The new Home Kit is launched with a video from innovative London film maker Salim Adam and showcases the shirt as a symbol of unity and pride, with a series of raw player and fan portraits paying homage to the modern tapestry of Tottenham and its fans. The piece features male and female squad members, Academy players, Club legends and an authentic fan voiceover, with a number of ‘blink-and-you’ll-miss-them’ discoverable moments for true fans,” the statement further added.
Meanwhile, after finishing fourth last season ahead of arch-rivals Arsenal, Spurs are looking to go one step further. Though the summer transfer window is yet to open, they have already made one signing by acquiring the services of Croatian winger Ivan Perisic on a free transfer.
