The superstar looked clearly unhappy at being hauled off on his return to the first game against Brentford after injury. He looked completely furious and ignored the German boss who tried to hug him as he went off with open arms wide open. He took a seat on the steps near the dugout instead of sitting on the bench.

He seemed to cool down as he watched Manchester United extend the lead to 3-0 before Brentford got a consolation goal.
Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick said he had no problem with Cristiano Ronaldo’s reaction.
“That is normal – a striker wants to score. But he has come back from a little injury and it was important to remember we have got another game coming up.”
“Also after what happened at Villa Park, we had to defend the lead this time and it was important that we went back to a back five and while we didn’t keep the clean sheet it was important to make sure nothing else happened,” he added.
“Cristiano, I understand that you are still ambitious and want to score yourself but when you are a head coach yourself, you will hopefully take the same decision and be the same role that I was in today.”
