In that video, a group of men who are believed to be from the Merseyside because of their accent are seen verbally abusing the 21-year-old, before the player’s mum tries to intervene and push the abuser. However, it ultimately resulted in chaos as both involved parties go back and forth, throwing around punches.

Though there is no confirmation regarding when this video was taken, it is being reported that the incident happened on Saturday, 19th February, hours after Manchester City’s defeat against Tottenham Hotspur. The Cityzens were handed a shock 3-2 defeat by Antonio Conte’s Spurs, courtesy of a late Harry Kane winner.

This, however, is not the first time when Foden has found himself in the headlines for the wrong reasons. He was temporarily suspended from the England national team a day after his international debut against Iceland for sneaking in local models into his hotel room by allegedly bribing the staff. Alongside Foden, Greenwood was also involved in that scandal and received the same punishment. Notably, while Foden has turned his life around and now finds himself being one of Manchester City’s key players, Greenwood is involved in a police investigation for allegedly abusing his former girlfriend, Harriet Robson.
