There are quite a few players this season who could fight for this award. However, names like Harry Kane, Kevin de Bruyne, N’Golo Kante, and even the new signing Jadon Sancho might come up.
The same might be true for the Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk who will return to the pitch after the horrific injury he faced in the match against Everton. There are also some that believe Jadon Sancho could be the POTS. He has been one of the best players in the world in his position. If Manchester United fight for a convincing title challenge, it is possible that he wins it in his debut season for Manchester United.
Another underappreciated contender is Chelsea’s Jorginho. He won the UEFA Champions League, Euros, and the Super Cup. He performed really well as the pivot in the midfield for both Chelsea and Italy. If he continues to perform like that and Chelsea can repeat what they did last season, Jorginho can become the player of the season as well.

Premier League Predictions 2021-22 Golden boot:
Currently, in the Premier League, the word golden boot rings Harry Kane or Mohamed Salah. However, another player who has been consistently scoring for Leicester City is Jamie Vardy.
The latest big addition to Chelsea, Romelu Lukaku is also on the cards. The Belgian scored 24 goals and assisted 11 in the last season with Inter Milan. Having had Premier League experience before with Chelsea, West Brom, and Manchester United, he is also a big contender for the Premier League golden boot winner.
Even with what felt like a poor season for Mohamed Salah, he bagged 22 goals. We can expect a tough fight between Salah, Lukaku, and Harry Kane.

Chelsea had the best defense in the Premier League after Thomas Tuchel’s employment. After having had goalkeeper problems with Kepa, Edouard Mendy stepped up really well and may get the prize this season.
However, the reason for the gap between the Blues and the rest was the injury of Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and even Joel Matip from the Liverpool side. With that trio back and Ibrahima Konate added to the squad this may be an altogether quieter season for Alisson.
