Following their recent 2-0 defeat to Chelsea, it became evident that Gerrard’s time at Aston Villa is up.
When the news of Gerrard’s sacking spread across social media like wildfire, Villa’s Communications Director Tommy Jordan posted on Social Media that the news is a complete lie.

However, all being said, Aston Villa continues its search for a new manager to take over the helm of the club. Argentine Manager and ex-Tottenham Hotspur and PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino is tipped to be the new manager of the Midlands club.
Pochettino is without a job since being sacked by the Parisian club. He was sacked despite winning the Ligue 1 trophy. It has been reasoned out that failure to deliver success in the UEFA Champions League is the main reason for his getting the axe. Pochettino was then succeeded by Christophe Galtier.
