Pre-Season Friendlies Highlights 2022: Tottenham Hotspur beat Team K-League 6-3 in first Pre-Season friendly

Scorers: Cho 45+2′, Veldwijk 52′, Amano 71′; Dier 30′, Kim OG 47′, Kane 54′, 75′ Son (pen) 68′, 85′

Richarlison made his Spurs debut from the start but the deadlock was broken in the 30th minute by Eric Dier, when he burst forward from defence and unleashed an unstoppable left-footed rocket into the top corner for 1-0.

Team K-League then drew level in first half stoppage time, when Cho Gue-sung’s excellent header looped over goalkeeper Brandon Austin.

Harry Kane came on at half-time and made an immediate impact when his cross to the back post was turned in by Jin-Hyuk Kim for an own goal to make it 2-1 to the visitors. Local boy Heung-min Son then entered the fray to a rapturous reception from the crowd.

The hosts soon equalised for a second time, however, with Lars Veldwijk firing low past second half goalkeeper Hugo Lloris for 2-2. But parity lasted for less than two minutes, before Kane put Spurs 3-2 up with a superb low left-footed drive from 25-yards.

Spurs were then awarded a penalty when Jun Amano bafflingly almost caught the ball with both hands in the penalty area. Son stepped up and made no mistake from 12 yards for 4-2.

But Amano quickly made amends for his handball when he fired in a free-kick from range which crept past Lloris at the near post for 4-3.

The hosts were then reduced to 10 men when Son was hauled down by Dong-Min Kim on the edge of the box and the defender was given his marching orders.

From the resulting free-kick, Kane fired home his second of the game to make it 5-3, before Son intercepted some poor defending and rounded the goalkeeper for his second and Spurs’ sixth. Next up for Antonio Conte’s side is a meeting with Sevilla in Suwon on Saturday.
