The past few weeks have been quite a rough battle for popular Twitch streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys to fight, as she had to constantly put up with online trolls and defend herself from targeted harassment. Yet again some trouble makers tried to malign her image alleging Pokimane of using drugs after an old video of her made rounds on the Internet.
Pokimane was the first Twitch streamer to be handed out a ban for reacting to the copyrighted material on Livestream. Following the ban, she faced a lot of hate online for breaching DMCA policies. On January 12, she was targeted for mass online abuse when Jidion’s viewers were directed to spam her stream with “L+Ratio”. This left her dejected and forced her to leave the stream midway.
Pokimane took to Twitter to raise their voice against this hate raid and misogynist comment that needed to stop. However, this didn’t stop trolls from hating on her. They targeted toxic and fabricated comments at her. Amidst all this furore, a rumour about Pokimane used to do drugs on her streams had started drawing everyone’s attention.

Pokimane’s Drugs Rumour: Why was star Twitch streamer Pokimane accused of doing drugs on Livestream?
This happened when an old video of the streamer resurfaced on the Internet. The rumour has led a lot of people to accuse Poki of using drugs as they claim she was seen forming lines with a credit card.
This fresh accusation baffled the Moroccan-Canadian streamer to the point where she had to elucidate the old clip to quash the inane rumour. While going through the viral clip, she pointed out how people have misinterpreted sugar as drugs. She said, “By the way, this is sugar from a Japan crate. I used to do Japan crate openings”.
Not only this, Pokimane was forced to deny the accusations in a tweet too. It reads: “I truly cannot believe I have to say this. But no, I don’t do coke or any drugs for that matter. I’ve never even done a drinking stream, y’all.”
As rightly pointed out by many of her fans and fellow streamers, the hate raids against Pokimane have crossed its limits. Needless to say, she has a huge fanbase who constantly support her even at her lowest.
