Pokémon GO December Community Day – Previously featured Pokémon from 2022 and 2021 Community Days return: Pokemon Go announces its Pokémon GO December Community Day, which will take place over two days — Saturday, December 17, 2022, and Sunday, December 18, 2022. Throughout the event, Pokémon featured in Community Day events in 2022 will appear more frequently in the wild and in Timed Research. Pokémon featured in Community Day events throughout 2021 will hatch from Eggs and appear in raids and Timed Research. There’s no better way to wrap up the year than by catching Pokémon from Community Day events gamers may have missed!
Pokémon Go December Community Day
The Community Day meetups will take place on Saturday, 17 December 2022, and Sunday, 18 December 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. IST. The meetups will be held in nine cities across India, including New Delhi’s Lodhi Gardens, Mumbai’s Shivaji Park, Pune’s Saras Baug, Bengaluru’s Statue of Edward VII in Cubbon Park, Kolkata’s Lions Safari Park, Chennai’s Tower Park in Anna Nagar, Lucknow’s Lohia Park in Gomti Nagar, Ahmedabad’s Vastrapur Lake Garden and Thiruvananthapuram’s The Napier Museum.

Event bonuses
- 2× XP for catching Pokémon
- 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event period
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive XL Candy from catching Pokemon
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
- One additional Special Trade can be made, for a maximum of two per day.*
- Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust.
Note: While most bonuses are only active during Saturday, 17 December 2022, and Sunday, 18 December 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, these bonuses will be active from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time.
Featured Pokémon
A different set of Pokémon will be featured on each event day—Saturday, 17 December 2022, and Sunday, 18 December 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. The Pokémon that appear during this time will have the same opportunity of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as those that appeared during their original Community Days. Outside of these times, any of the featured Pokémon may appear from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. IST on either Saturday or Sunday!
Community Day Special Research story: December Community Day 2022
For US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), gamers will be able to access the December Community Day–exclusive Special Research story, December Community Day 2022. Stay tuned for when tickets for the Special Research story go live.
Don’t forget: Gamers will now able to purchase and gift tickets to any of their friends that they achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with. Gamers should know that to gift a ticket, tap the Special Research ticket in the in-game shop, then tap the Gift button instead of the Buy button.
Furthermore, the tickets are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Please note that this Special Research will not include an in-game medal.
Timed Research
Timed Research leading to encounters with Pokémon featured in previous Community Days in 2021 and 2022 will be available.
Stickers
Gamers will be able to get 2022 Community Day stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing the in-game shop.
