PAK vs WI 2nd T20I: After disappointing attendance in opening game, fans humiliated outside stadium in 2nd T20I – Watch video

In a short clip that has been captured outside the Gate No 13 of the National Stadium in Karachi, a long queue of cricket fans can be seen. The fans look clueless and impatient as they wait outside the gate to get entry.

“The organisers should correct their affairs. We have been waiting for a long time for the gates to open,” Saad Khan, a student, told The News in front of Gate No 13.

International cricket resumed in Pakistan on Monday with the three-match T20I series against the visiting West Indies. And, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) allowed 100% spectator capacity at the National Stadium in Karachi to make it even more memorable.

Unnecessary hassle and mismanagement:

It was expected that the series will attract fans in huge numbers but it turned out to be different. Most of the stands were vacant and the attendance in both 1st and 2nd T20I was pretty low. Reports suggest that the fans were not treated well and had to wait in long queues. The gates were closed even 15-minutes before the start of the play.

Ticket prices too high at National Stadium in Karachi:

Most of the fans complained of unnecessary hassles and poor management. As per reports, even the ticket sales were low on both the days. Some of the fans even complained of the high prices of the tickets. They demanded that the ticket prices should be reduced so that everyone can afford it.

Meanwhile, the hosts Pakistan lead the 3-match series 1-0 on the back of 63 runs win in the opening game. They have set 173 runs target for West Indies and will be looking to seal the series with a game to spare.
