Speaking to the reporters upon his arrival in Australia, the PCB chief as per Indian Express said: “Billion dollar ki industry waali teams peeche rah gayi hai aur hum upar nikal gaye hai (Teams with billion dollar leagues are falling behind us). We are doing something right.”
Raja has already used the phrase “billion dollar” in his previous remarks. Prior to the World Cup, he had stated that Pakistan should be given credit for defeating the $1 billion Indian cricket squad in the previous T20 World Cup under the leadership of Babar Azam.
PCB chief later also addressed Team Pakistan and lauded them for their incredible comeback in T20 WC.

Raja also clarified the situation around the potential Test series between Pakistan and India. Australia has offered to host a Test series between Pakistan and India, according to former all-rounder Simon O’Donnell.
“I don’t have any such knowledge about the Test series to be played between India and Pakistan,” said Ramiz.
England’s massive 10-wicket win against India has helped them in setting up a T20 World Cup final clash against Pakistan. Both teams finished second from their respective groups in the Super 12s and their chances of securing a semi-final spot at one stage looked very unlikely.
But both sides made a terrific comeback not only to reach the semis but also to go all the way to the finals. The two teams last met in a World Cup final in 1992, which Pakistan won. England will be looking to set the record straight now by lifting the trophy at the iconic MCG in Melbourne.
