Resuming from 73/0, Pakistan held the fort in the first session with Imam Ul-Haq slamming a brilliant 70. At this stage, it looked like Pakistan would cruise to the 351 target but Australia had other plans.
Nathan Lyon struck in the first over after lunch, removing Imam Ul-Haq and then the collapse began once again. Although Babar Azam and Sajid Khan added 46 runs for the sixth wicket, the wickets kept on tumbling with Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon hunting in packs. Babar Azam’s fifty was the only positive in the second session as things turned upside down.
