This is the second positive case in the Pakistan camp after pacer Haris Rauf contracted the virus ahead of the Rawalpindi Test. With Hasan Ali and Mohammad Nawaz also being unavailable due to injuries, it will be fair to say that the green shirts are pretty stretched in terms of options in hand.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that if required, a replacement will be named for Faheem soon. The Australian team also reached Karachi amidst heavy security and was driven straight from the airport to the hotel. Both teams will have their full practice sessions at the National Stadium on Thursday morning.

Pakistan will be taking on Australia in the second of the three-match Test series on Saturday, 12 March, at Karachi’s National Stadium. After a draw in the first match, fans will be eager to see a result in this game.
