PAK vs AUS 1st Test: Imam achieves a wonderful feat – Pakistani opener and young fiery batter Imam-Ul-Haq made it to the history books as he became the 10th Pakistani player to score twin tons in both innings of a single test match. He joins an elite list of Pakistani players like Hanif Mohammad, Inzamam-Ul-Haq, Mishba-Ul-Haq, and other legends. Opening the batting in the first innings against Australia, Imam-Ul-Haq played wonderful innings as he scored 157 runs. The gritty performance from the 26-year-old which consisted of 16 boundaries and 2 sixes pleased the fans and his teammates as Pakistan went on to amass a huge total of 476/4 before declaring.

The second innings of Pakistan was no different as an ever-determined Imam, went on to score his second hundred in the match as he enlisted his name in the records book. He became the 10th Pakistani batter to achieve this marvelous feat. Alongside opener Abdullah Shafique, Imam-ul-Haq went on to score 111 not out as the match came to a close.

This wonderful feat brings Imam into the company of Pakistani legends who have achieved this similar yeat years ago like Inzamam-ul-Haq, Hanif Mohammad, Javed Miandad, Misbah-ul-Haq, and others.

The first Pakistani player to achieve this feat was Hanif Mohammad against England in 1962. Azhar Ali and Misbah-ul-Haq too achieved this feat 7 years ago against Australia in Abu Dhabi when the duo went on to put up a magnificent partnership.

Among current Indian players, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ajikya Rahane are also present in this esteemed list. Virat Kohli scored 115 and 141 against Australia in 2014 while Rohit Sharma scored 176 and 127 against South Africa in 2019. Ajinkya Rahane scored 127 and 100* against the Proteas in 2015.
