Orleans Masters 2022 Live: Sai Praneeth beats Louda: India’s Sai Praneeth, who has been ranked as the top seed, won his second round contest against Jan Louda 21-19, 21-12 to advance to the third round in the Orleans Masters on Wednesday. Meanwhile in the women’s singles, Aakarshi Kashyap and Malavika Bansod have pulled out of their respective first round fixtures. Asmitha Chaliha bowed out in the first round after losing to Indonesia’s Putri Kusuma Wardhini 17-21, 21-19, 14-21. Men’s Singles first round draw.
In the men’s singles first round, Shubhankar Dey lost to lower-ranked compatriot Priyanshu Rajawat 19-21, 21-13, 21-11 to bow out of the Orleans Masters. Rajawat lost the first set, but made a terrific comeback to win the next two sets to advance to the next round. He will face Germany’s Julien Carraggi in the second round.
In the other first round encounters, Kiran George and Chirag Sen won their respective matches in straight sets to advance to the second round.

Sai Praneeth [IND] vs Jan Louda [CZE]
Sai Praneeth started the contest on the backfoot with Louda taking an early lead of 8-5. The Indian then fought his way back by scoring three consecutive points to level the scores. He then took the lead and entered the first set break with a 11-9 lead.
Louda came back in the contest and took the lead. But Sai Praneeth once again fought back and hit a brilliant cross court smash to take back the lead at 15-14. The neck-to-neck battle continued, however Sai Praneeth won the contest with a terrific forehand smash.
In the second set, Sai Praneeth started dominating right from the start. He soon raced to a 11-7 lead by the break. The Czech player couldn’t even come close for a challenge as Sai Praneeth won the set 21-12 to advance to the third round.
