The study was conducted by multi financial compamy Duff & Phelps titled ‘Duff & Phelps’ Celebrity Brand Validation study 2021. Every year it provides a ranking of India’s most powerful celebrity brands based on brand values derived from their brand endorsement portfolios and social media presence.
The seventh edition of the study this year listed Virat Kohli’s brand value as Rs 1,412 crore and he tops the list, which is followed by Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar. Cricketer MS Dhoni is ranked fifth in the list with a brand value of Rs 464 crore. Other cricketers in the list includes Sachin Tendulkar and Indian skipper Rohit Sharma find themselves at fifth, 11th and 13th spots respectively.

With his number one position this year, Virat Kohli continues to maintain the top spot in the list for the fifth successive year, despite a dip in his value. According to the study, Kohli’s brand value has dropped down 22% in 2021 compared to last year’s report.
